Belén Rodero, soprano, began her vocal studies in Madrid with tenor Víctor Garzón and accompanist Manuel Valencia, later laying the foundations of her technique at the Béla Bartók Conservatory in Budapest and graduating with special honors from the Amaniel Conservatory in Madrid. She currently refines her vocal style with maestro Vincenzo Spatola, instructor at the Accademia del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino.
Belén has trained with renowned mentors, including Isabel Rey, Raquel Lojendio, and Gabriella Ravazzi, and has performed widely as a soloist across Spain—at venues like the National Auditorium in Madrid, the Museum of Romanticism, Casa de Vacas, and the Atarfe Auditorium in Granada, as well as at the Intramurs Festival in Valencia. Internationally, her performances have reached audiences in Bolivia and the U.S., most recently at the “Zarzuela Voices” event in Los Angeles.
As a light lyric soprano, Belén’s velvety legato, radiant timbre, and delicate high notes make her ideal for roles like Amina (La Sonnambula) and Susanna (Le nozze di Figaro), as well as lyrical roles like Mimi (La bohème) and Micaela (Carmen). She is equally celebrated in zarzuela, with standout performances as the Duchess Carolina (Luisa Fernanda) and Ana Mari (El caserío). Her repertoire also extends to the Lieder of Schubert and Strauss.
As of today, she carries out her professional activity between Los Angeles, California and Madrid, Spain.
